How We Got Here

It wasn't always smooth sailing, but we learned a ton along the way. Here's the real journey of Ignis Valorion.

2011 - The Spark

Started in a cramped downtown Toronto office with just three of us and a belief that executive recruitment shouldn't feel so transactional. We wanted to actually get to know people, y'know? Built our first 20 client relationships through coffee meetings and honest conversations.

2014 - Growing Pains

Expanded to a team of 12 and honestly? Almost bit off more than we could chew. But we figured out our sweet spot - executive search paired with leadership development. Turns out helping companies find leaders AND develop them was kinda our thing.

2018 - Level Up

Moved into our Bay Street offices and brought on specialists in psychometric testing and org change management. We weren't just filling roles anymore - we were reshaping leadership teams. Worked with over 150 organizations that year alone.

2021 - Pandemic Pivot

Like everyone else, we had to adapt fast. Turned out virtual executive search was totally doable, and our leadership development programs actually gained traction online. Launched our HR tech implementation services to help clients modernize.

2025 - Still Burning Bright

Now we're a team of 35+ specialists serving clients across Canada and beyond. We've placed hundreds of executives, developed thousands of leaders, and we're still obsessed with getting it right. The work keeps evolving, but our commitment to real human connection? That stays the same.

Look, at the end of the day this is about people - their careers, their growth, their futures. We treat every candidate and client like they're our only one. No cookie-cutter approaches, no rushing through calls. We take the time because people deserve that.

Honest Always

We'll tell you if a candidate isn't the right fit, even if it means losing a placement fee. We'll tell you if your job description is gonna scare off good people. Honest feedback isn't always comfortable, but it's always necessary if we're gonna do this right.

Keep Learning

The world of work is changing fast, and we've gotta keep up. Our team is constantly learning - new assessment tools, emerging leadership models, tech innovations. We mess up sometimes, but we learn from it and get better. That's the whole point.

Results Matter
